The Definition of a Survey

Surveys are used to collect quantitative information about items in a population. Surveys of human populations and institutions are common in political polling and government, health, social science and marketing research. A survey may focus on opinions or factual information depending on its purpose, and many surveys involve administering questions to individuals (taken from Wikipedia).

Online Surveys

They are basically regular surveys that are given over the internet either via an online website where you have to fill out a form or via an email sent to you to which you have to reply with your answers. Most surveys are long and time consuming. Should you choose to participate in one, you will get paid for your time.
